The East Forest Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Redbank Valley, falling 88-35. East Forest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-20.
Redbank Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Breckin Minich, who scored 17 points. Jaxon Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
East Forest dropped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Redbank Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.
East Forest will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Redbank Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights/Damsels at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 100th).
