Anna is 3-0 against Ranchview since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Anna Coyotes will head out on the road to take on the Ranchview Wolves at 7:30 p.m. Anna is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Anna had to settle for a 55-53 defeat against Van Alstyne.
The losing side was boosted by Jacob Emmers, who scored 15 points along with seven assists. Sean Steens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Ranchview came into Tuesday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Aubrey out 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Anna's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Ranchview, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-19.
Everything came up roses for Anna against Ranchview in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 69-33 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anna since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
