The Ledford Panthers will head out on the road to take on the North Davidson Black Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ledford is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Ledford had to suffer through a rough 65-38 loss at the hands of Oak Grove. While losing is never fun, Ledford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Oak Grove is ranked 59th).
Central Davidson typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday North Davidson proved too difficult a challenge. They pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Davidson.
North Davidson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kyndall Moore out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keelan Moore, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Ledford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. As for North Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Ledford was dealt a bruising 65-33 loss at the hands of North Davidson in their previous matchup back in January. Can Ledford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
