With a playoff win on the line, Colonial Heights rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Hopewell Blue Devils. The result was nothing new for the Colonials, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Colonial Heights and bumps their season record up to 11-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Hopewell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

As of now, neither Colonial Heights nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
