The North Moore Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 65-50 to Cummings. North Moore has struggled against Cummings recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, North Moore still got an impressive performance from Colby Pennington, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Copeland, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
North Moore has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Cummings, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
North Moore will be playing at home against Southeast Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cummings, they will head out on the road to face off against Seaforth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
