Frazier let Nick Porter and Brant Alekson run wild. Porter got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI, while Alekson went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Alekson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Bachinsli, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
As for Chartiers-Houston, their record is now 9-6. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 30, 2024, but that streak is no more.
On Chartiers-Houston's side, Brady Gotfredson put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Gotfredson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
In other batting news, Chartiers-Houston got a massive performance out of Cale Bitz, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Aaron Walsh was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
The future could be bright for both Frazier and Chartiers-Houston: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Commodores will try to hand Bethlehem Center their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Chartiers-Houston will look to extend California's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
