Central Connecticut III West recap October 8, 2013
Rocky Hill was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Bloomfield. The Terriers came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 37 last week.
Rocky Hill added to the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III West this week by beating the Warhawks, 38-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for David Coyne's team.
Norvel Stewart provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bloomfield fell to the Terriers. He completed 13 passes for 171 yards and also ran for 43 yards. Stewart's favorite target this week was Terrence Mitchell, who caught 6 passes for 64 yards.
Mitchell was the best wideout in the league this week as Ty Outlaw's team fell to Rocky Hill. Mitchell racked up 6 receptions for 64 yards. McCoy Briscoe helped Bloomfield's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Northwest Catholic's Christian Flynn and Aidan McDonnell have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Flynn has thrown for 713 yards this season, while McDonnell has 5 catches for 168 yards. Chris Young from the Terriers leads the league in rushing with 700 yards.
Rocky Hill took down the Warhawks 38-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Young ran for 164 yards in the win.
