Basketball Recap: Questa Extends Winning Streak to Three

Questa had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes as they made off with a 53-31 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Questa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyse Lovato, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Lovato has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Aliyah Santistevan was another key player, putting up eight points along with six boards and three blocks.

Questa smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive contests.

Questa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Mora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Coincidentally, Questa and Mora will both be playing McCurdy the next time they take the court. Questa will head out to face McCurdy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Mora will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
