The Hernando Leopards won the last time they faced the Weeki Wachee Hornets, and things went their way on Friday too. Hernando was the clear victor by a 34-12 margin over Weeki Wachee. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.
John Capel iii was his usual excellent self, rushing for 378 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry.
When it comes to explaining why Weeki Wachee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Wilson. Despite the final result, he picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Wilson's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
The victory makes it two in a row for Hernando and bumps their season record up to 4-6. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20 points. As for Weeki Wachee, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Hernando does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Weeki Wachee also has no future games currently scheduled.
