The Magnolia Science Academy Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 71-48 loss at the hands of Samueli Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Magnolia Science Academy in their matchups with Samueli Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Samueli Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Chanelo out in front who scored 23 points along with nine assists. The contest was Chanelo's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haset Seyoum, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Magnolia Science Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Samueli Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Magnolia Science Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Calvary Chapel at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th. Samueli Academy will take on Orange County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
