When it comes to explaining why Northside Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rilee Knight. Despite the final result, she scored ten points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney White, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Clearwater Central Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Bedinghaus, who scored seven points along with 16 rebounds and five assists. Bedinghaus is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played. Alexis Benoit was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Northside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.
Northside Christian will be playing at home against Indian Rocks Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Sunlake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Clearwater Central Catholic is ranked 105th).
