The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers needed just a quick three to secure the win on Saturday, but they couldn't get it done before the clock hit zeroes and lost 46-44 to the Memorial Tigers.
Memorial relied on the efforts of junior Miguel Carambot-mateo, who had 15 points, and sophomore Alejandro Arango, who had 13 points. Senior Aj Aviles was another key contributor, picking up 11 points.
The loss dropped Bridgewater-Raritan's record to 2-15. The victory -- their fourth in a row -- raised Memorial's record to 13-4.
The Panthers will take on Hunterdon Central on Tuesday. Bridgewater-Raritan fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game as the odds are decidedly against them. As for the Tigers, they will go up against Hudson Catholic on Tuesday. Unlike Memorial, Hudson Catholic will be stumbling in off of a defeat.
