Immaculate Conception Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 53-45 to the Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame Knights. The Cristeros were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.
Several Cristeros players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marcus Kuplack, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Wilhelm, who earned 18 points and eight boards.
Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame had a senior duo take command as Aidan Mallahan almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 21 assists and Sean Conway had 12 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Gabe Cary, who scored 11 points.
Immaculate Conception Academy has already played their next game, a 59-54 loss against Kootenai Community Church on the 4th. Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame has also already played their next contest (against Upper Columbia Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
