After three games on the road, Rhodes is heading back home. They will take on the East Tech Scarabs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Tech took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rhodes, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, everything went Rhodes' way against Harding as Rhodes made off with a 45-23 victory.
Rhodes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Betsaida Byrd led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 15 rebounds, and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniya King, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 83-11 loss at the hands of John Hay.
Rhodes now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Rhodes against East Tech in their previous meeting back in February as the squad secured a 57-28 win. Does Rhodes have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Tech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
