The Windber Ramblers will face off against the Richland Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Windber comes in on three and Richland on four.
Windber's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on North Star with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Ramblers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Logan Serenko made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Ike Serenko was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Lucas Rummel was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Star only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Richland beat Clearfield 7-3 on Friday.
Like Windber, Richland also got a great game from a two-way player: Maddox Vojtko. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Vojtko was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dom Shank, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caden Robertson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Richland's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Windber, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Windber has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richland struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Windber skirted past Richland 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Ramblers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
