Albion hasn't had much luck against Medina recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Purple Eagles will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Albion sitting on seven straight victories and Medina on 14.
Albion will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Akron, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Purple Eagles walked away with a 16-12 win over the Tigers on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Purple Eagles have beaten the Tigers on their field since May 19, 2022.

Albion got a massive performance out of Victor Snyder, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four hits gave Snyder a new career-high. Nathan Gibson was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Medina put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Wednesday. They never let Newfane get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past Vinny Gray, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Newfane off the board. Gray has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Aidan Papaj was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Pegelow, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.
Medina hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Albion's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Medina, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.
