After flying high against the Northview Titans last Tuesday, the Centennial Knights came back down to earth. Centennial took a 72-55 bruising from the Spartans on Friday. Centennial was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
It was another big night for Esmer Madesko, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 rebounds for North Springs. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Madesko has scored at least a third of North Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Hill, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Centennial has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for North Springs, their win bumped their record up to 7-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will take on the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Springs, they will be playing at home against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cambridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Spartans in Georgia (the Bears are ranked 50th, while the Spartans are ranked 241st).
