Killdeer/Halliday extended the longest winning streak in A Region 4 this week by beating New Salem/Glen Ullin, 27-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Grant County/Flasher made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,971 from 11,262. The improvement came about via a 18-8 victory over Southern McLean [Washburn/Wilton/Wing] last week.
Grant County/Flasher's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Coyotes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Taylor Krenz has thrown for 511 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Zackary Schmidt has 13 catches for 228 yards. Bailey Stewart leads the league in rushing with 377 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Coyotes take on Hazen. Grant County/Flasher's offense has recorded 106 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Bison have permitted only 71 on the year.
A big matchup in A Region 4 this week will be when Killdeer/Halliday takes on Richardton-Taylor/Hebron. As it stands, Chuck Wagner's team is in second, while the Raiders are in fourth.
Hazen led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Standing Rock/Selfridge.
