The Wheeler Bearcats will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against the Washington Township Senators at 4:30  p.m. Wheeler will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak  alive.
 Wheeler can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Lake Station Edison  a   14-0 shutout.
  Nora Howell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Howell has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Howell was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Abby Allen was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-1.  Isabela Lira was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Washington Township's offense. They lost  14-0 to South Central on Saturday.
 Wheeler has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record  this season. As for Washington Township, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record  this season.
