Westside and T.L. Hanna are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rams will welcome the Yellow Jackets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Westside's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Southside as they made off with a 29-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won five games in a row.

Jazelyn Robinson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Samantha Haney was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Madison Gray was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
Westside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, T.L. Hanna waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win.
Emma Williams 2027 spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Hanna Davis 2028 and Harmony Harvey 2028 did most of the damage at the plate: Davis 2028 went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one double, while Harvey 2028 went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Harvey 2028's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Callie Kinert 2028, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
T.L. Hanna pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Westside has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like T.L. Hanna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Westside came up short against T.L. Hanna in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 3-0. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
