Ben Smith turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Tuesday. He produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.
