Video: Jason Taylor coaching
Watch 6-time Pro-Bowl DE coaching at St. Thomas Aquinas.
Taylor was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 after a very successful NFL career. He was a three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler. He was named the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and finished with 139.5 career sacks which ranks seventh in NFL history.
He joined Roger Harriott's staff before the 2017 season and has been a vital piece to a very successful defense. He coached the defensive line during his first three years with the school and they have had one of the best front sevens in the country.
The Florida power has allowed less than 10 points/game each season and have gone 40-5 during his tenure. The Raiders won their first state title since 2016, going 15-0 in 2019, when it posted seven shutouts.
His son,
Isaiah Taylor, is coming off a strong junior campaign finishing the year with 50 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble. He is one of the top safeties in South Florida and has already landed six FBS offers.
With a lot of key players returning, expect Aquinas to be ranked high once again when we release our preseason rankings in the summer.
