Epping and Newmarket are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Epping Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Newmarket Mules at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Hampshire (Epping is ranked 48th, while Newmarket is ranked 69th).
Last Friday, Epping didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mascenic Regional, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Epping.
Meanwhile, Newmarket scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pittsfield 71-38 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Newmarket who now have three in a row.
Epping is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Newmarket, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Epping didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Newmarket when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Epping since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
