The Carroll Chargers and the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Carroll Chargers had to settle for second. They were dealt a 68-29 loss at the hands of the Panthers. Carroll has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Carroll's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily George, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaidyn Fuller, who scored seven points.
Carroll struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fort Wayne Snider to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Poole, who scored 21 points. Kyra Parker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Fort Wayne Snider, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.
Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Wayne Snider and the Millers will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Noblesville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
