Heritage Hills has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Heritage Hills beat Evansville Christian 46-38.
Meanwhile, Princeton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins but they left with six. They managed a 68-62 win over Evansville Central. That's two games straight that Princeton has won by exactly six points.
Lexi Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Azaryon Wesley was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Heritage Hills pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Princeton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Heritage Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Princeton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Hills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
