The Glenn Falcons can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Bremen with a 47-43 win. The victory was just what Glenn needed coming off of a 44-24 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alivia Turnage, who scored 15 points along with 5 steals. Turnage has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Keelyn Bradley, who scored 4 points along with 4 blocks.
Bremen's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kila Foster, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds. Foster scored a full 39.5% of Bremen's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Shively, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Glenn now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bremen, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn will face off against South Central at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully South Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for Bremen, they will head out on the road to face off against South Bend St. Joseph at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
