On Saturday, Nease came up short against Sumner and fell 48-35. Nease has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Daniela Reich and Audrey Rollins certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Reich scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals, while Rollins scored nine points along with four steals. Reich continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played.
It was another big night for Mikayla Berry, who scored six points along with ten steals and eight rebounds for Sumner. Berry hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Briana Gill-guyette was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Nease now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Sumner, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Nease and Keystone Heights will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Keystone Heights has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. Sumner will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th. Spoto is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
