The Woodbridge Warriors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Beckman, falling 33-0. Woodbridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Beckman apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Beckman can attribute much of their success to Austin Shepard , who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 142 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Makhi Czaykowski, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Woodbridge's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-2 Dana Hills and 7-3 Irvine (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Beckman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Woodbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Beckman will head out on the road to face off against Capistrano Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Capistrano Valley Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
