McComb has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Wilkinson County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McComb knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Wilkinson County likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, McComb beat Amite County 55-43. Given McComb's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Amite County is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-34, which was the final score in Wilkinson County's tilt against South Pike on Tuesday.
McComb is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Wilkinson County, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
Everything went McComb's way against Wilkinson County in their previous matchup two weeks ago as McComb made off with a 62-41 win. Will McComb repeat their success, or does Wilkinson County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
