Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Central

Central entered their tilt with White Plains on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won 17 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Kayla Storey's shutout, as she gave up just six hits.

At the plate, Khloe Broadwater was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Savannah Sevier was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in seven consecutive matchups.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 25-15. As for White Plains, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-20 record this season.

Central has already played their next contest, a 16-1 defeat against Orange Beach on the 25th. White Plains has also already played their next matchup (against Ashville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
