The Mountain View Lobos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to Harmony Science Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-17 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Mountain View, who have now won seven matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.
Jisell Huizar continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. Mia Ledesma was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The win was the eighth in a row for Mountain View, bringing their record for this year to 13-6. As for Harmony Science Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Mountain View will be home for the holidays to greet Irvin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1304th, while Mountain View is ranked 635th). Harmony Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fabens at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Fabens has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
