Mh'Chiya Johnson was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Carmyn Folk, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Bamberg-Ehrhardt is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Whale Branch, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bamberg-Ehrhardt won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Branchville at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Branchville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Whale Branch, they will head out on the road to face off against Bridges Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
