The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will square off against the Bishop McCort Crushers at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bald Eagle Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Bald Eagle Area got the win against Bishop Guilfoyle by a conclusive 7-1. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Marauders: they've now won three in a row.

Harlee Witherite spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Raelee Repasky was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Addisyn Burns was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Bishop McCort suffered their biggest loss since March 26th on Friday. They lost 13-2 to Huntingdon. The Crushers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bishop McCort saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lariah Myers, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bald Eagle Area's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Bishop McCort, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Bald Eagle Area hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Bishop McCort struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bald Eagle Area got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2016 against Bishop McCort by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Crushers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
