The Creekside Seminoles can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Villa Rica 70-40 on the road. Given Creekside's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 312th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Creekside was led to victory by Skye Cleveland and C?india Dennis. Cleveland scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Dennis dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Dennis has scored at least a third of Creekside's points. Braylin Brown was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Creekside has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Villa Rica, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Creekside will be playing at home against the Jaguars at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Averaging 69.55 points so far this season, Jackson's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Seminoles better be ready for a challenge. As for Villa Rica, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Cities is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
