Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingswood). They blew past the Pembroke Spartans 24-5 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Lexi M was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adriane T, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Miley B, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Kingswood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in four consecutive games.
Kingswood's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Pembroke, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
