Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morenci). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Sand Creek Aggies 57-54. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Morenci's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Sand Creek, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morenci will square off against Erie-Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sand Creek, they will challenge Whiteford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
