The Badin Rams waltzed into their match Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. Everything went their way against Mercy McAuley as Badin made off with a 60-34 victory. Badin might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matches by 26 points or more this season.
Mercy McAuley's loss came despite strong showings from Sarah Enginger and Ady Kreimer. Enginger scored seven points along with nine rebounds, while Kreimer scored eight points along with eight rebounds. Enginger hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Badin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Mercy McAuley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Badin will be home for the holidays to greet St. Ursula Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Ursula Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Badin is ranked 127th). As for Mercy McAuley, they will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Alter at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Archbishop Alter knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Mercy McAuley likes a good challenge.
