The Manistee Chippewas won the last time they faced the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders, and things went their way last week, too. The Chippewas had enough points to win and then some against Muskegon, taking their game 45-31. That was the first win for Manistee since their victory over Orchard View four weeks ago.
The win improved Manistee's record to 5-9. Muskegon's loss pushed them down to 1-11.
Manistee will take on Ogemaw Heights next week. Manistee won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings. As for Muskegon, they will go up against Orchard View on Thursday. Muskegon is the slight favorite, but fans of both teams should be in for an exciting matchup likely to go down to the wire.
