The Urbana Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Urbana was beaten by the Tigers 82-52. While losing is never fun, Urbana can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 154th in Illinois, while the Tigers are ranked tenth in Indiana).
Meanwhile, Mahomet-Seymour scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Effingham on the road to the tune of 79-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mahomet-Seymour.
This is the second loss in a row for Urbana and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.
Urbana couldn't quite finish off the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 70-68. Can Urbana avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
