Dublin has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Jefferson County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dublin will be strutting in after a win while Jefferson County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Dublin humbled Dooly County with a 65-21 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-21.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Jefferson County, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They took a serious blow against Bleckley County on Thursday, falling 42-2. While losing is never fun, Jefferson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Bleckley County is ranked 155th).
Dublin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Jefferson County, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8.
Everything came up roses for Dublin against Jefferson County when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 51-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dublin since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
