Spring Valley suffered their biggest loss since February 7th on Thursday. They were dealt a 58-22 defeat at the hands of the St. Monica Mariners. The Grizzlies' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Spring Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Ervin, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brie Ruiz, who put up five points.

Spring Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for St. Monica, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Spring Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-51 win against El Rancho on the 19th. As for St. Monica, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-45 victory against Alta on the 19th.
