Bloom-Carroll won against Hamilton Township last Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs beat the Circleville Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The Bulldogs' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Maddi Walters made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that she got this season.
In other batting news, Madelyn Gates was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raychel Grove, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Bloom-Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .548. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Bloom-Carroll's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Circleville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
