The Mehlville Panthers entered their tilt with the Parkway South Patriots with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Mehlville enjoyed a cozy 61-47 win over Parkway South on Friday. For Mehlville, this counts as revenge for the 57-53 loss Parkway South walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Parkway South lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eddie Ahearn. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Ahearn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played.
Mehlville's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Parkway South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mehlville will square off against Pattonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parkway South will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Lutheran South at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Lutheran South is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Parkway South a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
