The Caliche Buffaloes will face off against the Wiggins Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Caliche's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Weldon Valley with a sharp 11-0 win. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Blaine Farquhar, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Grady Roth was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Caliche was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Wiggins and Holyoke, and Wiggins kept the tradition alive. The Tigers blew past the Dragons 11-1 on Saturday.
Isaac Flores and Alex Tarango made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Flores pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Tarango pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Flores went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Tarango earned one run and two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases Tarango has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Arath Carrazco was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carston Johnson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Caliche's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Wiggins, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Caliche has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wiggins struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Caliche suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Wiggins when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Buffaloes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
