Football Recap: Northwest Christian Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Northwest Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 52-46 victory over the Walden Grove Red Wolves. The win almost wasn't to be: the Crusaders were down 39-17 in the third quarter.

Laki Wallwork produced another solid performance rushing for 136 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 326 yards and three touchdowns. Those 136 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Conner Main was another key player, picking up 157 receiving yards and one score.

Northwest Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4. As for Walden Grove, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-4.

Looking ahead, Northwest Christian will venture away from home to challenge Mohave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Walden Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
