Matthew Casalez was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jaden Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Lincoln County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on Thursday as Lincoln County made off with a 56-36 victory.
Lincoln County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kalen Bart, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds. Those 20 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Curtis Rippetoe, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Lowry's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Lincoln County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's match: Lowry have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5 threes per game. It's a different story for Lincoln County, though, as they've been averaging only 4.8 threes per game.
