Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Willits). They blew past the Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies 61-28 on Tuesday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 28 points or more this season.

Kaiden Oliver was his usual excellent self, shooting 6-for-7 from deep and dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Willits is 2-1 when Oliver posts eight or more boards, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Reiter, who posted nine points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Willits was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was the third in a row for Willits, bringing their record for this year to 4-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Roseland Collegiate Prep, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Willits and Roseland Collegiate Prep could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Willits (ranked 1097th) will meet South Fork (ranked 503rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Roseland Collegiate Prep (ranked 1302nd) will meet Credo (ranked 628th) at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
