Camden Central has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The Adamsville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Camden Central took a serious blow against Huntingdon, falling 61-13. While losing is never fun, Camden Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Huntingdon is ranked 61st).
Meanwhile, Adamsville put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Gibson County on the road to the tune of 41-6. The win was just what Adamsville needed coming off of a 35-13 loss in their prior matchup.
Adamsville can attribute much of their success to Avery Mccormick, who gained 86 total yards and three touchdowns, and Ben Hill, who threw for 136 yards and four touchdowns. Mccormick hasn't dropped below sixsolo tackles for three straight games.
Huntingdon's victory bumped their season record to 8-1 while Camden Central's loss dropped theirs to 4-5.
