The Corbin Redhounds pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-64 to Daniel. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (58), Corbin still had to take the loss.
Simms Disbrow was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for Daniel. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for him. Tristyn Carrington was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Corbin and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Daniel, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Corbin and Danville Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Danville Christian Academy is ranked 58th, while Corbin is ranked 65th). As for Daniel, they will head out on the road to face off against T.L. Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in T.L. Hanna's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
