The Thrival Indy Academy Aviators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 71-37 defeat at the hands of Northside L. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Thrival Indy Academy has scored all season.
Northside L's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JOEY HEASTON led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The game was HEASTON's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was DUKE KARNES, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Thrival Indy Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Northside L, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
Thrival Indy Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Non Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. Northside L won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Purdue Broad Ripple at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Purdue Broad Ripple focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Friday.
